Poor Pepper was so neglected when Garlic was at work. Trista did
eventually get to him and satisfy his needs, but the boy had to be
miserable before she did. Most of the time Garlic had to change his
diaper and get him a bottle as soon as he got home from work. I still
haven't got a notice from the social worker yet, so I don't know how far
in the red a toddler/child has to be to get the visit.
I
was starting to feel bad for the little dude. It wasn't lack for trying
on Trista's part, she just never seemed to guess what was really wrong
with Pepper. If he was starving she wanted to play with him. If he was
stinky, she wanted to feed him. If he was tried, she wanted to put him
in the playpen.
"I'm gonna get ya! Claw attack!"
"Whhhhhaaaa, hungy!"
With
Pepper now a toddler and not sleeping through Trista watching TV all
the time, it was time to build a bigger house. We still didn't have much
money, so I saved everything they owned and got as much money back as
possible for the wallpaper, floors and walls. This gave us a bit to work
with, and we managed to build a little 3 bedroom ranch style house. It
was pretty boring as far as houses went, as all it was, was a bigger
rectangle. But it gave them the extra space they needed and a bedroom
Pepper could call his own.
Trista seemed to break
everything in the house at once. She broke the toilet, Garlic unclogged
it. She broke the shower, Garlic repaired it. She broke the sink, Garlic
repaired it. He was starting to go unhinged again, and was constantly
worried someone didn't turn the sink off and the house was going to
flood.
She
then broke the sink again while he was sleeping, she tried cleaning up
the mess, but it just kept spewing water all over the floor. She did
this for hours, mop, spray, mop, spray. I think she has a bit of OCD.
Garlic
worked on Pepper's skills when he had time. Trista just put Pepper in
the playpen to teach him to talk, and the walker to teach him to walk.
(These autonomous toddler skill mods are not working, I might have to
leave out the playpen and walker with the next baby to see if she will
do it autonomously.)
In the end, Pepper did learn how to talk, walk and potty like a big boy.
"I go poop!"
Good job, buddy!
Snowflake day arrived and I thought what fun it would be to go to the Winter Festival, so I had Garlic initiate an outing.
"My house is a mess, I cannot leave right now!"
Trista, quit being a couch potato and go have some fun!
"Fine, but I will not enjoy this."
"Voices, check that out! I want to go on that!"
Garlic, you'll break your leg, you can't snowboard!
"Sure I can, I learned last night in a dream!"
That doesn't count, don't do it!
"Pfft, Trista tells me not to always listen to the voices, so I will not today."
Going for sane huh?
Before he could get on the snowboardermagigger, he spotted something.
"I told you he wasn't mine!"
He is too! That guy is just a coincidence!
"Not buying it. You still haven't shown me proof."
"OH MY GOD! NOW HE'S IN FRONT OF ME!"
Calm down you loon! He's not Pepper's father!
"I want a DNA test, pronto!"
Knock it off, your being ridiculous!
He finally did, and finally got to ride the snowboarding ride, he forgot all about the guy he thought could be Pepper's father.
That
night, they threw a gift giving party. I hadn't had one of these yet
since I got Seasons, so I figured I'd try it out. Plus I was hoping
people would bring us expensive presents! Well that was a
disappointment! Everyone brought gifts, everyone got to open gifts.
Everyone but my family. So let me get this straight, I host the party,
pay for the food that everyone eats, have to make sure everyone is
entertained and then we don't get any gifts? LAME!
The
only good thing about that party? Baby number two is on its way. Pepper
was almost a child, and both Trista and Garlic were only days away from
being full adults, so I thought, why not.
The
pregnancy was pretty uneventful, so we didn't get any pictures of it.
Pepper managed to mastered his xylophone skill, even though he had a
funny way of playing it. And Garlic got another promotion before the new
baby arrived.
Pepper's
birthday finally arrived, and just as I was trying to figure out if I
could buy a cake or not for him, Trista goes into labor. Well crap!
Garlic has to be to work in two hours and he's already missed one day
before of Trista's shenanigans. I can't call a babysitter, so bad luck
on Trista's part, she has to have the baby at home.
The
carpool will arrive for Garlic in one hour. Trista where are you
going?! She decided she was going to head to the hospital on her own.
How do I know this? Because Garlic popped up "Meet Up". No, no, no!
Cancel! You have no one at home now to watch Pepper! Crap, now he's
going to be late for work, or worse, miss it again! I then I get the
notification to name the baby. Well that was fast, she just left!
Now
as far as I can see, because I know for a fact she never made it to the
hospital, she delivered in the taxi. Now I can't be too sure of this.
But she had just left the house when I got the notification for a baby
name. When I clicked on her to see where the heck she was, she was in
the taxi already on her way home.
Meet,
Olive. I was able to pick her traits as well, so I randomized and gave
her insane and good. Her favorite color is white also (not that it
matters, but this whole family's favorite color is white besides
Trista's. Wanna know what her favorite color is? Seafoam. so white.
Back
at home, Garlic had left for work, leaving poor Pepper home alone!
Noooo what are you guys doing! Thankfully, and I don't know why, nothing
popped up about him being home alone, so we were saved on that. Pepper
in the meantime was being neglected horribly and was in the red! His
hunger had just a bit left, bladder all the way red, sleep all the way
red. When Trista finally got home, she took her sweet time putting Olive
in the crib and settling herself back in the house. My husband is
laughing at me cause I'm screaming at the monitor and she's just
twiddling her fricking thumbs! Oh he needs to eat? Okay now she'll go
feed him! No, no wait, now he's fricking having his birthday!
So dangerously in the red, starving, pissy and exhausted, Pepper changes into a child.
What
did I do? I saved and quit. Will he die of starvation? Will he collapse
of exhaustion? Will the social worker finally come and take this poor
boy away?
I don't know, I'm a bit scared to find out.
No fails this update.
